Three Habeas Corpus Hearings in Illinois

Reenactments of the Mormon Prophet Joseph Smith's three habeas corpus hearings in Illinois followed by panel discussion on use of habeas corpus from Joseph Smith to Abraham Lincoln to Guantanamo Bay.

Sponsored by the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Foundation, Illinois Historic Preservation Agency, and the Supreme Court Historic Preservation Commission.

Panelists include:  Hon. Sue Myerscough, U.S. District Court, Central District of Illinois; Michael Scodro, Illinois Solicitor General; Jeffrey Colman, Jenner & Block; and Jeffrey Walker, J. Reuben Clark Law School. Panel moderated by Gery Chico, Chico & Nunes.

Event begins at 6:00pm.  Doors will open at 5:30pm.  E-TICKET MUST BE PRESENTED FOR ENTRY.
