Civil War Tech: Women in the Civil War

Civil War Tech: Women in the Civil War

Join us as we merge science and history, two areas of study not often united but undeniably connected. Families are invited to see first-hand the science and innovation of Civil War technology.

Civil War Tech:  Women in the Civil War

Nurses, soldiers and spies, oh my!  Women took on many important roles throughout the war. Discover how nursing has changed since the Civil War. Learn the art of disguise and how it was used by women to join in battle, to spy, and to save Abraham Lincoln's life - then try it yourself!

Students ages 8-12 are welcome to participate. Limited number of spaces available. Students must check in with the Civil War Tech instructor.  Parents are invited to stay for the program, but are not required to do so. Civil War Tech program series is made possible thanks to generous support from AT&T.

Workshop from 10am - 12pm. Event in the Library (does not include museum admission).

E-TICKET MUST BE PRESENTED FOR ENTRY (printed or on digital device).
