Description
Lincoln in the World: The Making of a Statesman and the Dawn of American Power

Former Newsweek reporter Kevin Peraino used his years of experience as a foreign correspondent to examine the administration of President Lincoln.  The results was "Lincoln in the World: The Making of a Statesman and the Dawn of American Power," a study of Lincoln's maneuvers to keep European nations form siding with the South during the Civil War. Foreign Affairs magazine calls the book "an important step toward a richer and more useful understanding of the American past."

Library will open at 5:30pm.  Book signing at 6:00pm.  Book discussion at 6:30pm.
